TCHSF SUPPORTS ALUNNI BY RECOGNIZING CHS HALL OF FAME ALUMNI
April 1998 The Hall of Fame, located in a new west lobby, was dedicated to T.D. Williamson, Jr., ('31), who was the principal founder of the Central High School Foundation.
To honor Tulsa Central High School's outstanding graduates and others who have played a significant role in the life of Central High School.
SELECTION CRITERIA
HALL OF FAME AWARD
The Hall of Fame Award will be presented at the Hall of Fame Ceremony every three years or as determined by the Foundation Board.
OBJECTIVE:
• To honor Tulsa Central High School's outstanding graduates and others who have played a significant role in the life of Central High School.
• To provide Tulsa Central High School students a variety of outstanding role models.
• To cultivate support for Tulsa Central High School.
• To promote public awareness of Tulsa Central High School.
FORM OF RECOGNITION
• Recipients will be honored at a Hall of Fame event (frequency of event is determined by Foundation Board).
• Recipients will have a plaque in their honor unveiled at the event. This plaque will be placed in the Hall of Fame area of Tulsa Central High School. A smaller plaque will be given to the honoree.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
• Nominee must be a graduate of Tulsa Central High School or have played a significant role in the life of Central High School.
• Nominee has performed outstanding service to others in his/her community, state, region, nation or world through pursuit of a career and/or volunteer capacity.
Nomination and selection procedure:
• Individuals or a "class" of Tulsa Central High School may make nominations.
• Nomination forms, this information sheet and a cover letter will be made available on the Tulsa
Central High School Foundation write tulsacentralhighschoolfoundation.com, and will be mailed to "class" contacts (if known).
• Nomination deadline is six months
• Be willing to make a personal appearance at Tulsa Central High School at a mutually convenient date either during an assembly or a class presentation.
• Select the person who will present the candidate during the Hall of Fame event.previous to event. Honorees will be selected by the Executive Committee of the Tulsa Central High School Foundation.
RESPONSIBILITY OF DISTIBGUISHED HONOREE
• Attend the Hall of Fame event, if possible.
• Provide the Foundation with biographical material and two black & white photos.
• Provide the Foundation with their guest list for the Hall of Fame event.
